xMG began
with the name [CGS] Come Get Some, it was changed after a few years to
[USMG] United States Marine Grunts. When entering on the Xbox 360 the
tag was changed to xMG instead of the original [USMG]. The United
States Marine Grunts started when I was a Freshman in High School. That
would be 5 years ago, in 2001. That was the official date USMG started.
Before USMG, there was a clan called [CGS] Come Get Some. This clan was
run very well by a guy named Klaatu. This guy was in the Navy and paid
for an AvP2 server to be up full time. After a little time he recruited
NewbieWhacker and I, TomM (sktm). Soon after Klaatu couldn’t be in the
game much so NewbieWhacker and I took over as owners. We played as
[CGS] but soon renamed to [USMG] United States Marine Grunts. We
recruited alot of awesome people and had an extensive community filled
with fun and killing.
USMG went
on to win every match they had ever faced except for one, against the
clan {RIP} Rest In Peace. We seemed unstoppable for a time, defeating
clans such as BLITZ, 101st, 9thCMD, Fusion, and many more. But
everything has an end, I had gotten my drivers license and like every
other teenager I drove until the wheels fell off and partied alot. USMG
slowly started falling apart as everyone began doing thier own thing.
Some of our members created =SA= Soul Assassins and are still owning
hard.
I think it’s time for USMG to rise again from
it’s grave, and make our name known again. Now I still party every
weekend but that doesn’t mean we can’t get something going here, it
only takes a few of us to get everything blowing into proportion. So
let’s do it.

used to love playing survivor. It was a game where it basically allows
you to camp and made the game interesting. But being the first mutate
was a bitch. I had fun being the last marine on open maps like Verloc
and Compound on the CGS server, whether is was facing predators or
aliens, the players were skilled and allowed use of any weapon, it was
like the old days of avp2. I really gave them a good fight, especially
a game on Verloc, against every player, and most were from clans, but
that was before lag got worse and the server shut down.
Then I went to Evac a few months ago and they were my last good games, with Hells Fury, Infamous Andy, and a few others.”
